Unitarian Universalist Community
PROGRAMS & FACILITY
Sunday services are presented with themes which speak to the concerns of the larger community. Guest speakers often present us with fresh information and challenges. Any member is free to put forward his/her own topic for presentation to the Program Committee, and to conduct the service personally. Your ideas will find a hearing with us.
These are the titles of some programs we have shared on Sundays past:
Duck Ponds and Swan Lakes; The parable of the ugly duckling
The Holy Gift of Renewal; Celebration of the Easter way of being
What Holds Us Together; Acknowledging UU unity through our diversity
The "G" Word; Naming the Divine honestly [after Jim Fulton, UU minister]
It Might Have Been Otherwise; In the spirit of gratitude for what is so . . .
In addition to the philosophical topics, we have examined real conditions in human society, both local and worldwide. Local groups within our denomination, and activists from NGO's have shared their wisdom and challenged us to rise to the obligation of citizenship and stewardship.
CALENDAR OF EVENTS
The house on Stoll Road has a full kitchen, office space, a meeting room which can be divided, and a garage-size, heated room which serves as our library. We will make the place available for weddings and meetings of nonprofit groups. Please contact one of our board members for terms of use and availability.
